Doug Woodring, founding member of Project Kasei, will be speaking about Trash Patch and Ghost Net[works].

Ghost Net[works] is a major collaborative that re-focuses the public’s attention on the oceans sordid transformation by exposing all the untidy litter that passes under our name. It recreates the underwater feeling of standing [floating] underneath a ghost net, from a marine life perspective.

24 Hour Draw-A-Thon
July 9-10
Artist Manny Vega along with Sol Sax, Jonathan Glass, Christina Justiz, Jay Moorthy, Michelle Ortiz and Michelle Cruz, will each create their own drawings during the 24 hour period. Jazz musician Joe Carter the III will perform lending inspiration to the process.
Childrens Workshop
July 28th 1- 3pm
This children’s workshop lead by NLE artist Carol Warner and will explore the act of weaving artistically, with children of all ages. Using scissors, glue and various magazine images, children will be able to weave their own images of culture, media and pop aesthetics |
