Candice Strongwater
Candice Strongwater is an Associate Curator for Red Bull Studios New York, a non-commercial, contemporary art project space that provides new opportunities for emerging and established artists that extend the boundaries of traditional exhibition-making, and presents critical public programming. She is currently co-organizing the fall retrospective TOTAL PROOF: The GALA Committee 1995-97, the first comprehensive New York presentation of GALA Committee’s In The Name Of The Place, a covert conceptual artwork organized by artist Mel Chin and deployed on the primetime television show Melrose Place from 1995-97. Candice has worked with numerous institutions and galleries such as Dixon Place, MoMA, Exit Art, and Tanya Leighton in Berlin. Curatorial projects include a film retrospective as part of Every Exit Is An Entrance at Exit Art (2011), and group exhibitions at Microscope Gallery (2013) and Ashley Berlin (2015). She studied at the Film and TV School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU), and holds a BA in Film Theory & Criticism from Muhlenberg College. Instagram: cancode
