Dalaeja Foreman
Dalaeja Foreman is an emerging curator, community organizer, activist, first generation American of Afro-Caribbean descent, and Brooklyn native. She is a member of the People Power Movement and her organizing work focuses on political education, social justice, gentrification and community preservation and empowerment. Pedagogy, identity and representation are central to Dalaeja’s curatorial practice, with the goal of combatting misconceptions of oppressed people (specifically people of color) and legitimatizing resistance through direct action, cultural esteem or the arts. She is one of three founders of the black aesthetic collective, Black Folk NY.
