From Dusk Till Dawn features art videos, short and narrative films, a site-specific mural, and cuisine in celebration of Sunnyside's imaginative creative culture. Conceptually, From Dusk Till Dawn considers both time and light as impactful elements of the visual and oral storytelling process. Whether told over a candlelit dinner or around a campfire, articulated through film or site-responsive art, stories are livened by temporal circumstance, and are shaped and illuminated by environment. Restaurants presenting video and film will serve a signature or theme-based cocktail based on the works on view.

Over the course of restaurant week, Giorgio Casu will realize a site-specific mural on the building of SoleLuna Restaurant, offering an immersive art experience that expands upon Sunnyside’s welcoming and community responsive neighborhood. Casu is a New York-based artist best known for his acrylic paintings, which have been presented internationally at major events and in galleries, including The White House, where he presented a portrait of President Obama in 2010. His large-scale public murals can be admired in Miami, Mexico, New York City, Italy, Costa Rica, India and Australia.
