Lacrosse Legend (2009)
Fabric, lace, stick
Lacrosse is a symbolic game that shows an immense transition from its lost origins between tribes in the Northeast, to its now more common stereotypical culture of a preppy collegiate sport. Paralleling consumption, cultural stealing, and the fetishization of history I hope that this oversized, reconstructed symbol of the net can touch on some of these ideas of how the East (not West) has been won (or changed).
