Ellen Harvey
Ellen Harvey is a painter with a conceptual approach to historical genres, among them classical realism. On view at the Old Bronx Borough Courthouse is Pillar Archive, a collection of over 4,000 postcards of neo-classical buildings from around the world. Harvey collected these postcards over the past several years and has arranged them to form a “family” of forms and likenesses. Also on view is the absurdist painting installation, The Alien’s Guide to the Ruins of Washington D.C.
